Fourier integral and Furiet transforums. Calculus of Variations, single dependent and simple independent variable, geodesims, bradistochme problem, Fermats principle, several independent variables, Halmiton's Principle, Isoperimetric problems. Eigenvalue problems, eigenvalues and eigenfunctions, normalisation of eigenfunctions self adjoint form, orthagonality of eigenfunctions, degeneracy conduction of heats. Assessment is by assignments and examination. Prerequisite: PHS 210.
